The Xtreme 200R is Hero’s first attempt in the 200cc space, which is currently dominated by the likes of Apache RTR and Yamaha FZ. The 200R, as its name suggests, features a 200cc motor, based on the Achiever’s 150cc unit. Moreover, the 200R being an affordable 200cc offering lacks some features like LED headlamps or a fully digital instrument cluster. Besides, the 200R lacks a bit of character, which is somewhat mandatory for bikes in this segment.

Exterior Details

The Hero Xtreme 200R is a mature and simple 200cc motorcycle, which is known for its adequate performance and comfort. Talking about the dimensions, the bike is 2,062mm long, 778mm wide and 1,072mm in height. It has a kerb weight of 148kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12.5-litres. The ground clearance of the Xtreme 200R is 165mm.

Handling

The Xtreme 200R is built around a diamond frame while it rides on a 100/80-17 section tyre at the front and a wider 130/70-17 section tyre at the rear. The suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking is courtesy of a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.

The headlamp is a halogen unit with LED pilot lamps, while the taillamp is an LED.
