Cute and fun

<p>I like the engine. It is smooth, refined and cruises to about 80kph. Its compact size makes it very easy to ride in our traffic conditions and ride quality is remarkable. Its shape resembles the Honda Z100 from days back when I was young. That empty space below the tank is very annoying, but overall, it is a cute scooter. Planning on buying one for my college-going daughter as it is reasonably priced.</p>


Looks like luna

<p>Not a fan of its design, but very capable, light and smooth scooter. Optional storage box in middle should be useful. Some people were smiling at me in traffic when test riding it. I feel its tiny size is very cartoonish.</p>


Stupid looks

<p>This is not something everyone will like. Don&#39;t know what Honda was thinking when they made it. Seat is too narrow, wheels are too small and not suitable for the bike.</p>

The 2026 Honda CB750 comes with an optional E-Clutch, new dual-tone colours, the same 755cc engine and added tech features for daily use.

<p>I am at a stage in life when a phone call from friends or family means one of two things - either an invitation to a major life event or news of someone’s passing. In such moments, what you need is quiet reliability. And that’s exactly what the Honda Elevate offered - not excellence, but presence.</p>
<p>The Elevate we have is the Signature Black Edition, a variant that looks purposeful but not particularly special. The ‘Black Edition’ emblem on the tailgate and ‘Signature Edition’ badge on the front fender feel like afterthoughts rather than neatly integrated touches. Still, the tall bonnet, massive grille, and sharply cut LED headlamps lend it a confident stance. Other drivers tend to make way without the need for aggressive honking or light flashing - always a welcome trait on Indian roads.</p>
<p>Inside, the spacious cabin proved to be one of the Elevate’s highlights. A recent long drive from Chandigarh to Delhi reaffirmed how roomy and comfortable it feels, with ample headroom and legroom for all passengers. The boot, too, is impressively accommodating - easily swallowing a large suitcase, three cabin bags, and two office backpacks.</p>
<p>The drive experience, however, leaves much to be desired. The 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine feels underpowered and, surprisingly for a Honda, quite noisy. You really have to wring it out to maintain expressway speeds, which gets tiring over time. The vague and notchy gearshifts only add to the frustration, especially in city traffic, where low-speed pickup feels lethargic and you’re constantly rowing through gears.</p><p>
  Ride comfort is acceptable on smooth stretches, but sharp bumps unsettle the rear, which tends to bounce about - not ideal for passengers with sensitive backs. The ADAS suite works well in most cases, offering gentle steering and braking assistance. But in tight city lanes, it can be overly sensitive - even a pedestrian’s sudden flinch can trigger an emergency stop.<br>
  The ‘rhythmic’ ambient lighting with seven selectable colours sounds interesting on paper, but the execution feels cheap. Brightness can’t be adjusted, and the control module is oddly positioned on the dashboard beside the steering column - another afterthought.</p>
<p>One curious observation: after a spell of rain, water pooled on the contoured bonnet and stayed put even at 100km/h. It’s worth keeping an eye out for, as standing water could cause rust over time.</p><p>
  In the end, the Elevate isn’t about flair or excitement. It’s about quiet dependability - a car that doesn’t excel in any one area but never lets you down either. Like a true friend, it’s there when you need it most, and now it’s heading into the next chapter with Shivank, who’s taking it on a road trip to the hills. Honda Elevate Long Term Report: Month 1 - A Friend Indeed

In a month of living with the Honda Elevate, its greatest strength has become clear: not performance or flair, but the kind of quiet reliability you can count on without question.

<p>
    The latest entrant in the 125cc motorcycle segment, the Honda CB 125 Hornet, is already creating quite a buzz (pun fully intended). In a space crowded with sensible commuters, the Hornet stands out as a 125cc motorcycle with real street presence and a proper attitude.</p>

<p>Visually, the CB 125 Hornet is a stunner. It takes design inspirations from its bigger Hornet siblings. Its sharp lines, muscular bodywork, and a purposeful stance can easily make you mistake it for a 200cc or even a 250cc machine. The gold-anodised USD fork, sculpted fuel tank, contoured seat, and compact tail section further add to its premium appeal. The paint finish and build quality are top-notch – easily among the best we’ve seen from Honda in recent years. <p>Powering the CB 125 Hornet is a 124cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 11bhp and 11.2Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. On paper, these numbers may seem underwhelming, but on the road, the bike feels peppy, smooth, and responsive – exactly what you’d expect from an smart urban commuter. The throttle response is crisp, and the engine revs cleanly, making city commutes effortless and fun. At 124kg, the Hornet is light, agile, and quite flickable, making negotiating traffic or tight corners an easy affair.</p>

<p>During the timing runs at the BIC, the Hornet surprised us all by holding its own. It managed a lap time of 1:28.0, even edging out the more powerful Kawasaki KLX230 – an impressive feat for a 125cc commuter. Sure, it’s not built for the track, but it exhibited impressive poise, balance, and composure that exceeded expectations. The brakes are good enough to inspire confidence, and the chassis is tight and predictable, encouraging you to push harder. The CB 125 Hornet is going to shake things up in the sporty 125 cc commuter space, taking the fight to the likes of the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R, both of which have done well in the Indian market. A 125 cc commuter showdown then is just what the doctor ordered. Time to make a few calls, then.</p>

<p>In the real world, all this means a motorcycle that’s not only fun to ride but also comfortable and practical. So, if you want a commuter that looks stylishly sharp, feels premium, and is relatively easy on the pocket, the CB Hornet 125 is the one to beat.

Honda CB 125 Hornet Wins Bike of the Year - autoX Awards 2025

Visually, the Honda CB 125 Hornet is a stunner. Its sharp lines, muscular bodywork, and a purposeful stance can easily make you mistake it for a 200cc or even a 250cc machine.

    The Activa is a well-known name in the scooter market, and deservedly so. After all, it has shattered various sales records for Honda. So, when Honda decided to launch an electric version of the Activa – the Activa e – we expected it to deliver on all fronts. However, that was not the case. It looks smart, feels solid, and oozes brilliant quality just like other Honda products, but beyond that, things begin to feel rather underwhelming.</p>

<p>The Activa e comes with two swappable batteries, which are designed well, and don’t weigh a lot. However, the problem is that they can’t be charged at home – there is no way to plug in and charge the scooter or the batteries. Now, considering the Activa e is not what you’d call a competitively priced offering, the added battery subscription makes things worse. Had it been priced close to ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom), the value equation would have made more sense.</p>

<p>The swappable battery setup also eats into the very thing most scooter buyers care about – storage. The under-seat storage space is minimal, leaving little room for storing everyday items. The suspension is also disappointing – it feels overly stiff for everyday city riding. And the odd weight distribution also makes it feel a bit nervous around corners. <p>On the plus side, its 7-inch digital instrument cluster is one of its best features. It’s not a touchscreen, but that’s not a problem at all, given how smooth and responsive its interface is. The buttons on the handlebar are also quite intuitive. The unit displays a wealth of information without cluttering the screen. The Activa e also comes with keyless operation, which is a nice touch; however, it’s more of a novelty than a real advantage.
