The legendary Suzuki Hayabusa has finally evolved into its latest rendition for 2021 and reached Indian shores. Throughout its history, the Busa has rarely received significant updates since it never needed them. This year, however, Suzuki has updated the Hayabusa for BS6 emission norms. And in light of said emission updates, the motorcycle has received a complete overhaul, including changes to the engine parts and components. The litre-class behemoth has even received updates to its design, looks and colours schemes. That said, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is priced as per the updates as well, having received a roughly 2 lakh hike. Suzuki Hayabusa Exterior Details

The Suzuki Hayabusa has always been unique in the looks department, and Suzuki has tried to retain that while changing things up for the design. The Suzuki Hayabusa's iconic curves now have sharper lines, making the bike look front heavy while looking sleeker from the rear end. The redesigned front end for better aerodynamic flow features larger vents. The tail section has a new design, giving the tail light setup a mean, sinister look. The hump cowl for the pillion seat remains more or less the same, giving the bike clear, iconic Hayabusa-like lines. The supersport tourer's dimensions are 2180mm in length, 735mm in width and 1165mm in height.

Suzuki Hayabusa Engine & Transmission

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa gets the same 1340cc liquid-cooled, inline-4 cylinder monster. The difference is that the unit itself gets a horde of new components and a slightly reworked state of tune. Because of this, the new Hayabusa generates 190 PS of power at 9700rpm and 150Nm of peak torque at 7000rpm. Compared to the older variant, the new Busa's power comes in early in the rev band, but this has in no way negatively affected the bike's power delivery. In fact, this has made the Hayabusa's low-mid range more usable. Don't be misguided by on-paper figures. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa can do 0-100 in a breath-taking 3.2 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 299kmph. All this power goes through a manual 6-speed transmission that also gets an up and down quick shifter.

Suzuki Hayabusa Handling

Being a supersport touring motorcycle, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has a larger wheelbase of 1480mm. However, this doesn't limit the supersport motorcycle from turning in and carving those corners. The riding position of the Hayabusa is quite committed, but it isn't as aggressive as track-focused sports bikes. Handling the Hayabusa gets more comfortable now, thanks to readjusted clip-on handlebars in the new variant. The 2021 Hayabusa runs much better in Indian road conditions thanks to new internals in the KYB front forks and rear shocks. For safety, the Hayabusa comes loaded with rider aids such as electronic wheelie control, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and more.

Suzuki Hayabusa Features

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is the epitome of feature-loaded. The bike gets a full LED treatment for starters, complete with DRLs. Other than the new design and colour schemes, the bike gets a full electronic rider aide suit that includes ten-level traction control and wheelie control, as well as engine braking control. The bike comes with multiple power modes as standard. However, the Suzuki flagship also gets three additional riding modes that can be fully customised by the user. Other features include cruise control, launch control and hill hold. The bike retains its iconic analogue display but gets a small TFT screen in the middle that displays all sorts of rider data.

Suzuki Hayabusa Price & Variants

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa gets only a standard variant priced at ₹16.4 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). In India, the litre-class bike gets only two colour schemes at the moment, which are Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Burnt Gold and Metallic Matte Sword Silver/ Candy Daring Red. A third colour option, Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Matt Stellar Blue, is available in a few international markets.
