This surprising pace is not because of the engine. Its 149.5 cc 3-valve air-cooled motor is engaging, but it’s certainly no powerhouse. The secret to its performance lies in its chassis. Unlike any of its rivals, the Vespa uses a full-steel monocoque construction. 2025 Vespa 125 Series Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs 1.32 Lakh

The 2025 Vespa range will be available at all approved dealerships across India from February 25. Let’s take a closer look into the details of each model in the new lineup.

The new Vespa GTS&nbsp;has made its debut on the global market with a larger 310cc liquid-cooled engine&nbsp;(a longer-stroke derivative of the former 278cc High-Performance Engine).&nbsp;The new powerplant contains more than 70% new components, resulting in higher performance.&nbsp;For example, the stroke of a single-cylinder now stands at 70mm, a bit higher than the previous 63mm. This raises displacement from 278cc to 310cc and output to 25bhp at 7,750rpm.&nbsp;

The new Euro 5+ engine is more efficient, resulting in lower fuel consumption and pollutants. Other powertrain modifications include&nbsp;injectors, cylinder inclination, starting system, and crankcase design. With all these enhancements, the GTS 310 is the most powerful Vespa ever.

Design-wise, the Vespa GTS 310 exudes a classic vibe.&nbsp;It features an elegantly designed front apron, protruding side panels, and a tidy tail section.&nbsp;The scooter has two variants: GTS Super and GTS SuperSport. The Vespa Elettrica takes its name and inspiration from the Mansory Ferrari 458 Spider Monaco Edition, which debuted in 2012 with an Enzo-inspired front end. Priced at Rs 14.28&nbsp;lakh (ex-showroom, India), the&nbsp;Vespa 946 Dragon is an exclusive, collector's edition version of the Vespa 946 scooter, although visually different from the standard version. The Dragon edition has a base Gold colour with dragon decals highlighted in Emerald Green.&nbsp;

Introduced globally to celebrate the Lunar New Year on January 24 in Hong Kong, the Vespa 946 Dragon scooter is a nod to what the company says is the&nbsp;coming together of cultures, innovation and sophistication, with a distinct sense of energy and power associated with the dragon. The bookings for the special-edition scooter are now open at authorised&nbsp;Motoplex showrooms in India, and the Dragon edition will arrive on our market as a completely built unit (CBU). The bookings for the special-edition Vespa 946 Dragon scooter are now open at authorised Motoplex showrooms in India. Only 1,888 units of the model are available for purchase globally. 

Piaggio has introduced a limited-edition Vespa scooter in India that was co-created with Canadian pop sensation and pop star Justin Bieber and retails for Rs 6.45 lakh. The outcome of this collaboration, known as the JUSTIN BIEBER X VESPA, is a collector's model limited edition that combines Bieber's artistic ingenuity with Vespa's timeless design. This special Vespa scooter which has been designed by Justin Bieber is now up for booking as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) import, is sure to enthral fans all across India. The vast majority of the scooter is mostly white in colour, and notably, it is fitted with whitewall tyres, a rarity in modern times. In addition, white flames have been painted over the white background.&nbsp;

Bieber chooses a minimalist black and white aesthetic for his Vespa scooter design. Everything about this white Vespa Sprint is immaculate: the paint, the grips, the spokes, and the saddle. The brand's emblem and the drawn flames on the scooter's exterior are both done in white.

During its global debut in 2022, Justin Bieber said, “The first time I rode a Vespa was somewhere in Europe, probably either London or Paris. I just remember seeing a Vespa and being like ‘I want to ride one of those’. And I had such a great time, just the wind flying through my hair, the freedom. That was a lot of fun.

The Vespa Sprint 150, a popular scooter in the United States, served as the foundation for this limited edition version. For clarity, that's a 155cc, single-cylinder engine producing 12bhp and 12.4Nm of torque. A single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) is standard, as are 12-inch wheels front and rear. The bookings for the limited-edition model will commence in the coming weeks. As far as the Indian market is concerned, the scooter is unlikely to arrive here, although the company has developed a few customised Vespas for India, including the Racing Sixties, the Dual, and the SXL series of scooters.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Vespa Mickey Mouse Edition: What's New Visually?</h2>

Born out of a collaboration between Piaggio and Disney, the special edition offers a bespoke three-toned paint scheme, comprising Red, Black, and Yellow - the same colours that characterise&nbsp;the iconic Mickey Mouse cartoon. Piaggio says that the yellow wheels are symbolic of the cartoon's shoes, while the black mirrors resemble his distinctive round ears.

<h2>Vespa Primavera: Engine, Features</h2>

The Vespa Primavera serves as&nbsp;the base model for the Mickey Mouse Edition, and the special edition will be extended to the Primavera 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc models.&nbsp;Powering the Vespa Primavera is an i-get (Italian Green Experience Technology) 4-stroke, 3-valve per-cylinder engine with electronic injection. According to Piaggio, this engine represents the state-of-the-art benchmark in its sector.&nbsp;

On the feature front, the scooter gets LED lighting, a remote seat opener, Bike Finder, and a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display that is linked to the Vespa MIA app - offering access to a host of information, such as bike status, trip statistics, etc. The Primavera rides on 12-inch aluminium alloy wheels.&nbsp;

<h2>Vespa Dual Series in India: Key Details</h2>

Last month, Piaggo&nbsp;added a new member&nbsp;to its Indian lineup. Called the Vespa&nbsp;Dual, it is offered with&nbsp;two engine options - 125cc and 150cc. The Vespa Dual has a special two-tone livery and is offered in 4 dual-tone colour options, comprising&nbsp;Pearl White with Azuro Provenza &amp;&nbsp;Pearl White with Beige on the VXL range&nbsp;plus&nbsp;Pearl White with Matte Red &amp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pearl White with Matte Black on the SXL range of scooters. Prices of the Vespa Dual start at Rs 1.32 lakh for&nbsp;VXL variants, whereas the SXL range carries a sticker price of Rs 1.37 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Although the Vespa Dual&nbsp;dons a distinct dual-tone livery, it is similar to the standard&nbsp;VXL and SXL range&nbsp;in terms of mechanical specifications and features.&nbsp;The Vespa Dual series is BS6 Phase II-compliant, is E20 fuel-ready&nbsp;and complies with OBD II emission norms.&nbsp;

The new Vespa Dual is fitted with a 200mm disc brake up front and a 143mm drum brake at the back. The 125cc version comes equipped with a combi brake system, while the 150cc gets a single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Furthermore, it gets aircraft-inspired anti-dive suspension technology, according to the Italian manufacturer.&nbsp;Other&nbsp;features include LED headlights and&nbsp;rear-view mirrors.&nbsp;
