The Yamaha MT-09 features an 847cc three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 111.8bhp and 87.5Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual gearbox. Moreover, the Yamaha MT-09 mileage is rated at 25km/l.

Handling

The Yamaha MT-09 is based on a diamond chassis whilst the suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a swing arm at the rear. It gets a 120/70 ZR17 M/C 58W section tyre at the front coupled with dual 298mm disc brakes and a much wider 180/55 ZR17 M/C 73W section tyre at the back coupled with a 245mm disc brake.

The Yamaha MT-09 new model comes with dual-channel ABS as part of the standard safety package. In terms of electronics and features, you have fully adjustable front forks, quick-shift system, assist & slipper clutch and switchable traction control system. Additionally, the headlamp and the tail lamp are both fitted with LEDs. The instrument cluster gets a full digital treatment, comprising all the electronics and shows the speedometer, odometer, tachometer and fuel gauge.
