<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/yamaha/">Yamaha</a> has launched a new&nbsp;Carbon Edition version of the&nbsp;R15M in India. Priced at Rs&nbsp;2.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Yamaha R15 Carbon Edition gets a&nbsp;carbon-fibre finish on its sides fairing, front cowl, and rear quarter panel,&nbsp;while the base Silver colour of the fuel tank remains untouched. Other&nbsp;noticeable bits include an all-black fender, blue accents across the fairing, fresh&nbsp;decals slapped on the tank, and&nbsp;blue-finished wheels with blacked-out tyres.</p>

<p>Showcased&nbsp;at the inaugural&nbsp;Bharat Mobility Expo in February 2024,&nbsp;the new Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition draws inspiration from&nbsp;the YZF-R1M's carbon fibre bodywork. Aside from visual upgrades, the R15M Carbon Edition gets a colour TFT digital display, which now comes with turn-by-turn navigation along with music &amp; volume control.&nbsp;The mechanical and hardware components remain the same, though.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition: Powertrain</h2>

<p>The Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition is powered by a&nbsp;155cc liquid-cooled motor,&nbsp;which puts out 18bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm.&nbsp;The gearbox is a six-speed unit, featuring a slip and assist clutch. Other electronic aids are a quick-shifter and a traction control system.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition: Hardware</h2>

<p>The suspension setup consists of&nbsp;37mm&nbsp;upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, while a 282mm single disc performs the braking duties&nbsp;at the front and a 220mm single rotor at the back. Weighing 141kg, the bike rolls on&nbsp;17-inch alloy wheels wrapped&nbsp;in 100/80-section front and 140/70-section rear tyres. Other highlights include 815mm of seat height and 170mm of ground clearance.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from the Carbon Edition, the Yamaha R15M gets a&nbsp;Metallic Grey colourway priced at Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The Carbon Edition is available for purchase through all Yamaha Blue Square showrooms in India.&nbsp;</p>

Yamaha has launched a Carbon Edition version of the R15M in India. The new Yamaha R15M Carbon Edition draws inspiration from the YZF-R1M's carbon fibre bodywork.

Yamaha R15 is a track-bred supersport bike that delivers class-leading
handling, performance, and sharp design. It features a VVA (Variable Valve
Actuation) engine, upside-down forks, and aggressive aerodynamics. The R15 competes
fiercely with the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/rc200/">KTM RC 200</a> and the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/suzuki/gixxer-sf-250/">Suzuki Gixxer SF 250</a> for its sporty persona and
performance specs.</p>
