Kia Seltos Preview
For any brand to enter the Indian market without an SUV in their product portfolio would be nothing short of unwise. Thankfully, that isn’t going to be the case with Kia when they enter the Indian market next year. At the Auto Expo 2018, the company took the covers off their upcoming SP Concept. This car will essentially become a base for an SUV that rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Hexa, Renault Capture and Mahindra XUV5OO.
The design of the SP Concept is typically Kia with the Tiger nose grille up front and squared off edges. From ridges on the bonnet and slim headlamps to narrow stretched taillamps, all give the SP Concept the right stance for an urban SUV. If the concept is anything to go by, we can expect it to have dual tone colour options, when it goes in production.
While there are a lot of questions about the SP Concept that still remain unanswered, it is safe to assume that the car will be based on the same platform as the Creta. Kia is still to reveal the engine specifications and other details of this car. We expect to get more details in the second half of the year. The production version of the SP Concept is likely to be among the first Kia cars to be launched in India next year.
