<p><strong>Mahindra will provide e-Veritos to Meru as part of a mass electric mobility project. This project will commence with Hyderabad and may be carried forward to other major cities too&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>On the occasion of Earth day, Mahindra and Meru officially announced a collaboration to take up a mass electric mobility project in Hyderabad.&nbsp;As part of the pilot project, Mahindra will provide e-Veritos&nbsp;to Meru to include in their fleet. While the project will start with Hyderabad, the two parties&nbsp;will look to expand to other cities at a later stage. Customers will be able to book these e-Veritos on the Meru mobile app or the website. These electric cabs can be booked at the same rate as a standard sedan. Meru will also have a part of the fleet stationed at the airport.</p>

<p>Speaking on the collaboration Mahesh Babu, CEO Mahindra Electric said, "This is definitely going to make it easier for the city to adopt EV technology and will also be in line with our endeavor to make EVs more accessible to a larger urban population. We believe that innovative and unique partnership models like this pilot will lead the way towards sustainable transportation in urban cities. We are now looking forward to working with Meru to have this project rolled out to more cities."</p>

<p>This is not the first time that Mahindra has got into a collaboration with a cab-hailing company. The Nashik based-company got into a similar arrangement with Ola in May last year. As part of that project, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/mahindra-kuv100-electric-launch-in-first-half-of-2020-107108/">Mahindra Electric</a> had provided 200 vehicles - 100 electric <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/mahindra-and-ola-to-lead-indias-first-electric-mobility-revolution/">Kinectic rickshaws and 100 e2o Plus' to Ola</a> in Nagpur.&nbsp;</p>
