Maruti Suzuki Swift Exterior
The 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift uses the same Heartect platform as the Baleno. It's a pretty-looking car, with soft lines all over. At the front, a wide honeycomb grille now features a chrome bar, while the rest of the design remains unchanged. It still gets up-swept headlamps that incorporate LED projectors, giving it a rather aggressive appeal. You will also notice that the floating roof is now a trend among most cars on the market, and finds its way onto the new Swift as well.
Mildly flared wheel arches along the sides give the car a masculine appeal. At the rear, the squared LED tail lamps look brilliant when lit up, especially in the dark. Another nice touch is the placement of the door-handles at the rear, now incorporated in the C-pillar, giving one the impression the little car is a three-door hatch. Overall, the exterior justifies the high-set Maruti Suzuki Swift price.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Variants
The Maruti Suzuki Swift variants are as follows: LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+. Features include a 7.0-inch Smartplay Studio touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, along with in-built navigation. You also get auto headlamps, keyless entry and go, climate control, cruise control, coloured MID, rear-view camera, voice commands, and a lot more. On the safety front, it gets ABS, dual airbags, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and seatbelt pretensioners as standard.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Interior
Inside the Maruti Suzuki Swift new model, the cabin appears to be very well thought out. It is uncluttered, functional, and overall, it feels like a rather nice place to be. Plastics used, however, are a little hard, but on the whole, the cabin is well built. We love the flat-bottom steering wheel and fiery orange gauges ahead of them. The seats are well-bolstered, holding the occupant snugly in place. There's also ample legroom and headroom for passengers at the rear.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Engine Specifications & Performance
While the third-generation Swift was earlier powered by the carmaker’s 1.2-litre K-series engine, Maruti Suzuki has swapped it in favour of a more powerful and frugal 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12C Dualjet petrol engine. It is capable of producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque, and it comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It also gets a start/stop function, which helps in boosting the overall fuel efficiency.
