<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/">Maruti Suzuki India</a> Limited (MSIL) has finally launched the CNG variants of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/baleno/">Baleno</a> and <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/maruti-suzuki/xl6/">XL6</a> as it moves ahead with its CNG initiative. The USP of the domestic automaker, which presently has 9 CNG vehicles in its lineup, is the cost-effective fuel alternative.&nbsp;But the popular premium hatchback and 6-seater MPV are the first models in the brand's NEXA lineup to offer the CNG option.&nbsp;The Baleno CNG will be available in both Delta and Zeta trims, whereas&nbsp;the XL6 CNG will only be sold in base Zeta trim.</p>

<p>While the CNG power unit in the XL6 is a direct lift-off from Ertiga CNG, the Baleno uses the CNG power unit from the Swift and Dzire. Additionally, these next cars&nbsp;have the same engine tune and a comparable tank range.&nbsp;The familiar 1.2-litre K12C Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine that powers the Baleno CNG will provide 77bhp&nbsp;and 98.5Nm of maximum torque. It is less powerful than the standard petrol version, which has a 90bhp and 113Nm maximum torque output. The configuration is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.</p>

<p>The 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine powering the XL6 CNG is capable of producing 87bhp and 121.5Nm of peak torque in CNG mode and 100bhp and 136Nm in petrol mode. It will be coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Since both vehicles have the same motor, their fuel efficiency will be comparable to the brand's current CNG models, the Swift CNG and Ertiga CNG.</p>

<p>In addition to Suzuki Connect's 40+ connected features, a 7-inch Smart Play Pro touchscreen infotainment system with on-board voice assistance, Android Auto&nbsp;and Apple CarPlay connectivity, MID display with CNG-specific screens, LED Projector headlamps, 60:40 rear split seats, and a host of other features, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno S-CNG is&nbsp;the only premium CNG hatchback vehicle in its segment.</p>

<p>The brand-new Maruti Suzuki XL6 S-CNG boasts features like Suzuki Connect, which has 40+ connected functions, including remote controls, a 7-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, cruise control, LED DRLs, etc. A host of safety features, including four airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ESP with hill hold, LED front fog lamps, and more, are also standard on the Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG. Currently, the Zeta trim of the new Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG is the only manual option available.</p>

<p>The Maruti Suzuki Baleno S-CNG is priced at ₹8.28 lakh for the Delta variant&nbsp;and ₹9.21 lakh for the Zeta variant. Both prices are ex-showroom. On the other hand, the all-new XL6 S-CNG has a price tag of ₹12.24 lakh (ex-showroom).</p>

Maruti Suzuki launches CNG variants for the XL6 and Baleno

The CNG versions of the Baleno and XL6 have finally been launched by Maruti Suzuki. The pricing for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno S-CNG is Rs. 8.28 lakh for the Delta variant and Rs. 9.21 lakh for the Zeta variant (ex-showroom) . The XL6 S-CNG costs Rs. 12.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

<p>Maruti Suzuki has launched the&nbsp;new Ertiga-based XL6 crossover in India with ex-showroom prices starting from&nbsp;₹ 9.80&nbsp;lakh. Launched in two trims (Zeta &amp; Alpha), the latter top-spec trim carries an ex-showroom price of&nbsp;₹ 11.46 lakh (Alpha AT). As reported earlier, the XL6 will be retailed via the brand's NEXA retail outlets. As the XL6 is based on the Ertiga, there's no surprise in the fact&nbsp;that it borrows its powertrain from&nbsp;the latter&nbsp;as well. This means that the XL6 is powered by the same BS-VI compliant K15 Smart Hybrid petrol motor. The four-pot motor in the XL6 develops 103bhp &amp; 138Nm of torque, while the transmission duties will be carried out either by a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Yes, the XL6 is available with an automatic derivative right from the day of its launch, in both Zeta &amp; Alpha trims. With the automatic, the XL6 has a claimed fuel-efficiency figure of 17.99km/l whereas the manual version offers a respectable 19.01km/l.</p>

<p>As suggested by the name, the XL6 is a six-seater crossover. This has been possible by removing the second row of seats of the Ertiga and replacing them with two individual captain seats. The fact that the XL6 is a premium offering over the Eritga is made clear by the re-engineered/re-designed bits. Unlike the Eritga, the XL6 gets all-LED lighting (headlamps, taillamps, fog lamps &amp; DRLs), reworked front &amp; rear fascias (new bumper &amp; grille design with front &amp; rear skid plates) and plastic cladding all around, which reasserts its crossover nature. Further, the XL6 comes with 15-inch black-painted alloys.</p>

<p>The XL6's interior has also been altered visually, as it offers a sportier all-black interior theme over the Eritga's sober all-beige option. The seating comfort &amp; interior utility remains at its highest, courtesy of features like a height-adjustable driver's seat, captain seats in the second row (with slide&nbsp;&amp; recline functionality), a sliding third row of seats with 50:50 split-fold, adjustable headrests and front &amp; rear armrests.&nbsp;Other convenience features on offer include a rear defogger, auto climate control,&nbsp; keyless entry with push-button stop-start, cruise control, power windows, power outlets for all three rows, tilt-adjustable steering &amp; power-folding ORVMs with turn indicators. The infotainment system too sees an upgrade, with the brand's latest&nbsp;7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio making its way onto the XL6. The 6-speaker system comes with a host of connectivity features like Apple CarPlay &amp;&nbsp;Android Auto services and can be controlled using steering-mounted controls.</p>

<p>On the safety front, standard features include ABS with EBD &amp; Brake Assist, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags &amp; ISOFIX child seat&nbsp;mounts. The automatic derivatives&nbsp;will additionally offer features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP) &amp;&nbsp;Hill-Start Assist. While the above-mentioned features are available with the Zeta trim, the Alpha trim additionally offers a rear parking camera, leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and auto headlamps.</p>
