<p>Bharat Mobility Expo 2025:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/porsche/">Porsche</a>, the renowned German sports car brand, has launched the Macan EV at Auto Expo 2025. The starting price for the base RWD variant of the Macan EV is Rs 1.21 crore (ex-showroom). The Macan EV lineup in India now includes three trim levels, with the newly introduced base RWD and 4S variants, and the top-spec Turbo variant priced at Rs 1.68 crore (ex-showroom).&nbsp;Design-wise, Macan models offer a variety of new customisation options, including a 20-inch Macan S wheel and an off-road design package, both of which can be complemented by the new Slate Grey Neo exterior paint. The off-road package enhances the vehicle’s capabilities by increasing ground clearance to 195mm and improving the approach angle to 17.4 degrees.</p>

<p>Additionally, the standard air suspension can boost clearance to a maximum of 225mm. The package also includes redesigned elements such as the front bumper, side skirts, and diffuser, along with 21-inch off-road wheels and roof rails that can be painted in Vesuvius Grey or matching body colour.</p>

<h2>Porsche Macan EV: Mechanical Details</h2>

<p>The Porsche Macan Turbo Electric offers 576bhp in standard mode, but with Launch Control and Overboost activated, this increases to 630bhp and 1,130Nm of torque. The EV is available in both the base RWD and the 4S variants in India. The Turbo 4S delivers 442bhp in normal mode and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds. The 4S variant is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) for electronic damping control. Additionally, it features Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and rear-axle steering for better performance and handling.</p>

<p>The Macan Turbo Electric is powered by a 100kWh battery and built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. It supports rapid charging at up to 270 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. The vehicle offers a WLTP range between 518 km and 590 km, while its urban WLTP range can extend from 670 km to 762 km.</p>

The electric performance SUV, introduced in January this year only in the Turbo EV configuration, is now available in the standard Macan Electric and Macan 4S Electric variants.&nbsp;The standard&nbsp;model carries a price tag&nbsp;of&nbsp;Rs&nbsp;1.22 crore, while the 4S costs Rs&nbsp;1.39 crore. For the uninitiated, the top-of-the-line Macan Turbo Electric retails for Rs&nbsp;1.69 crore. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. The bookings for the entire Macan range&nbsp;are already&nbsp;underway in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The starting price of the new Macan Electric is around Rs 26 lakh higher than that of the petrol-powered&nbsp;Macan.&nbsp;The&nbsp;4S version&nbsp;fills the void between the Standard and Turbo models, while the new&nbsp;entry-level model&nbsp;is available with rear-wheel drive exclusively.&nbsp;The electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) system&nbsp;in the 4S allows power to be distributed&nbsp;between the front and back axles about five times faster&nbsp;than with a conventional&nbsp;all-wheel-drive system.</p>

<h2>Porsche Macan EV: Power Figures</h2>

<p>Power for the base Porsche Macan Electric RWD is provided by a single electric motor situated on the rear axle and a 100kWh battery pack.&nbsp;The motor&nbsp;comes&nbsp;from the Macan 4, and&nbsp;produces 335bhp, up to 355bhp&nbsp;in Launch Control mode. The peak torque stands at&nbsp;563Nm. The Macan EV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 220km/h. Compared to the 4S, the standard RWD variant&nbsp;is around 110 kg less, making it significantly more efficient, with a range of up to 641 km&nbsp;on a single charge.</p>

<p>Along with the electric motor positioned on the front axle, the Macan 4S&nbsp;gets a new rear-axle motor. When a power over-boost is used, the dual motor setup's combined output rises&nbsp;from 442bhp to 509bhp.&nbsp;The 4S comes with&nbsp;Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping management as standard.&nbsp;With Launch Control, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), the rear-axle steering, and the adaptive air suspension with a levelling system and height adjustment all contribute to the chassis' increased optimisation.&nbsp;According to Porsche, a fast charging system can charge the model&nbsp;from 10% to 80% in about&nbsp;21 minutes.</p>
