<p>Tata Motors will launch the country's most affordable automatic transmission car, the Nano GenX AMT, on May 19. Apart from having a 5-speed automatic gearbox, Tata has made the Nano a lot more practical car with a useable boot which offers 95-litres of space in the automatic variant and 110-litres in manual. The new model will be available in two new colours like Sangria Red and Persian Rose.</p>

<p>Nano continues to be powered by 37.5bhp, 624cc petrol engine, which develops&nbsp;51Nm of torque. According to Tata Motors, the manual and AMT variants are expected to return 23.6 kmpl and 21.9 kmpl, respectively. The new Nano also comes with a bigger 24-litre fuel tank compared to the old 15-litre one.</p>

<p>The Nano gets a redesigned nose, bumpers, headlamps, new steering wheel from the Zest and a new instrument cluster. It now comes with features like two trip metres, instant and average fuel economy and distance to empty tank reading.</p>

<p>The bookings for the Nano GenX are open across the country and one can book it by paying Rs 5,000 as down payment. For existing Nano owners, Tata has launched a scheme called Power of 1+1 programme, where the customers will get the best exchange rate for their old Nano along with a special bonus of Rs 20,000 and a referral cash prize of Rs. 5,000 for every referral.</p>

<p>Existing Nano owners can be the first ones to get their hands on the upcoming GenX Nano, as part of a new exchange programme launched by Tata Motors.</p>

<p>Under this Power of 1+1 Programme, Tata will offer the best market price for customer’s old Nano and offer an additional bonus of Rs 20,000. Further, Nano owners can enroll into a referral programme and earn Rs 5,000 for every referral.</p>

<p>Speaking about the programme, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd., “As part of the Horizonext journey, we now bring the GenX Nano with latest technological advancements as we continue to reach out to our customers with feature-rich products that offer best-in-class technology and design engineering.”</p>

<p>On purchase of every GenX Nano, Tata will donate an amount to Child Rights and You(CRY) and contribute towards retention of girl children in schools for a year.</p>
