Although the test mule was concealed beneath heavy camouflage - &nbsp;it is anticipated that the Tata Nexon EV Max will retain the same design as the recently launched 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift. However, there may be some additional badges and accents to differentiate it from the standard version. This sighting serves as a strong indicator that Tata Motors is in the advanced stages of development, hinting that the official launch may take place in the coming months.</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Max: Interior Features</h2>

<p>The Nexon Max EV facelift is expected to come with all the cool features found in the regular Nexon EV facelift, along with some exclusive additions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 2023 Tata Nexon EV comes with a stylish interior that mirrors the previous-generation model, complete with a sophisticated gear selector dial. It boasts a generous 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch HD instrument cluster, capable of presenting maps in various formats. Furthermore, it includes a comprehensive set of amenities such as a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, an air purifier, type-C ports, comfortably ventilated front seats, a sunroof, an exceptional JBL audio system, and the convenience of voice controls.</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Max: Battery, Range</h2>

<p>Although there's no official confirmation regarding the battery pack and range, the upcoming Nexon EV Max facelift is expected to feature a larger battery and offer a longer driving range compared to the standard EV version.</p>

<p>Currently, there are two Nexon EV variants available: MR and LR. The LR variant comes with a larger 40.5kWh battery, while the MR variant has a smaller 30kWh battery. Interestingly, despite the battery sizes remaining the same, both the MR and LR variants have seen an increase in their driving ranges. As per ARAI, the MR version offers a range of 325 kilometres, while the LR variant boasts a range of 465 kilometres.</p>

<p>In terms of performance, the MR version delivers 127bhp and 215Nm of torque, while the LR version produces 143bhp and 215Nm of torque. It's worth noting that the power outputs have remained consistent, but there has been a decrease in torque for the MR variant by 30Nm and for the LR variant by 38Nm. For the LR variant, Tata claims a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 150km/h.</p>

It now comes standard with a redesigned User Interface (UI) and a larger, 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system built by Harman. This system supports over 180 voice commands. <h2>Tata Nexon EV: Price</h2>

<p>There are two trim levels for the Tata Nexon EV: Prime and Max. Prices for the Nexon EV Max begin at Rs 16.49 lakh and go up to Rs 19.54 lakh, while the Prime range begins at Rs 14.49 lakh and tops around at Rs 17.19 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV MAX XZ+ LUX: What's New?&nbsp;</h2>

<p>High definition rear view camera, Improved audio quality with clearer notes and deeper bass, new user interface (UI), and multi-language voice assistant supporting six spoken languages (English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi) is also now available in the electric SUV.</p>

<p><b><i>The Nexon EV Max has become the first EV to journey to Umling La.</i></b></p>

<p>The Tata Nexon EV Max has entered the India Book of Records for becoming the first EV to scale the Umling La Pass, the world’s highest motorable road, located at 19,024 feet above sea level. The journey to the highest motorable road in the world began from Leh for a team of drivers, and the record was set on 18<sup>th</sup> September 2022.</p>

<p>Tata hasn’t exactly revealed how much charge the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/tata/nexon-ev-max/">Nexon EV Max</a> consumed in that journey, but it is a fair estimate that it would have had to be charged fully at least once, or even twice. As far as the range of the electric SUV goes, it can do 437kms on a single charge, according to ARAI. The real-world number will be lower than that, especially in the mountainous region of Ladakh.</p>

<p>The Nexon EV Max is currently the least expensive electric car sold in India, that has a range of over 400kms. So, while the feat of scaling Umling La can be achieved in other electric cars as well, the Nexon EV Max is one of the most accessible ones to do so in.</p>

<p>In the real world, the Nexon EV Max battles it out against the MG <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/zs-ev/">ZS EV</a> and Hyundai <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/hyundai/kona-electric/">Kona Electric</a>. It is priced between Rs 18.34 to 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom).</p>

Tata Nexon EV Max reaches new heights as it journeys to Umling La

The Tata Nexon EV Max was launched a little while ago, and it has set new benchmarks for other EV makers, as it became the first electric car to reach this destination. It has entered the India Book of Records for the same.

With prices starting at Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom), the Nexon EV Max primarily packs in a larger battery pack, a slightly more powerful electric motor, and the option of a faster charger. <p>Starting with the battery pack, it is now rated at 40kWh compared to the 30.2kWh of before. The ARAI-claimed range has gone up from 320kms to 437kms and the electric motor has also become slightly more powerful with an output of 141bhp and 250Nm, which means that the Nexon EV Max can do the 0-100km/h spring in under 9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 140km/h. The Nexon EV previously came with a 3.3kW charger, but Tata is now offering the option of a faster 7.2kW charger as well, for a premium of Rs 50,000.</p>

<p>Tata’s also made feature updates to the Nexon EV. You now get an illuminated gear knob with a dedicated park button. Then&nbsp;there is the electronic parking brake, wireless charging, ventilated seats and multi-mode regen feature (refills the battery pack with energy lost during slowing down). Tata’s upped the safety quotient as well and you now get ESP as standard, hill-hold, hill-descent control, all four disc brakes and an IP67 rated electric motor and battery pack.</p>

<p>With its updated range, the Tata Nexon EV takes one step closer to competing with MG’s <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/zs-ev/">ZS EV</a> and the Hyundai <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/hyundai/kona-electric/">Kona Electric</a>. However, these cars continue to be priced higher than the Nexon EV.</p>
