2018 Honda Amaze accessories listed

The new Honda Amaze is priced between ₹5.59 lakh - 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The second-generation Honda Amaze has been making quite a buzz in the Indian market. The company is offering two accessory packs for the car to help customers personalise it.

The first one is called the Utility Package, which prioritises functionality over aesthetic appeal. With this, Honda will include front bumper protectors, rear bumper protectors and side mouldings to help protect the car against scratches. These accessories are offered in the body colour of the car so that they blend well and don’t stick out. There is also a door lamp projector.

Given how so many Indian customers love chrome, the second accessory kit is called the Chrome Package, which only offers chrome appliques. It consists of tail lamp garnish, chrome door lining, fog lamp garnish and a rather big trunk garnish.

While it’s good to have two accessory packages on offer, the Amaze’s list is nowhere as expansive as that of its biggest competitor, the Dzire. Maruti Suzuki, for instance, offers accessories for the Dzire’s exterior and interior, as well as many audio accessories like speakers and amplifiers.

Otherwise, the new Honda Amaze comes well equipped by compact sedan standards. The top-end VX variant features 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, cruise control, steering-mounted voice controls, passive entry with push button start, LED DRLs, automatic climate control, etc. However, the CVT gearbox option - both for petrol and diesel models - are reserved only for mid-spec S and V trims.
