2024 Kia Sorento SUV Revealed Globally; Gets Significant Cosmetic Updates
The official pictures of the updated Kia Sorento SUV have been made public for the global market. Let's take a closer look at the mid-size SUV which recently received a mid-life update.

After the Hyundai Santa Fe, its rival SUV, made its debut in a new guise, the Kia Sorento underwent a mid-cycle update. The mid-size SUV's design and interior have received a number of revisions from the automaker, including an updated front fascia, a larger touchscreen screen, and more. By the end of 2023, the upgraded compact SUV is expected to make its entry into the South Korean market. In terms of the engine, there are likely to be zero changes, and the model is anticipated to continue with the same 2.5-litre petrol, 2.2-litre diesel, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. As the Kia vehicle has received some significant cosmetic updates over the outgoing model, let's explore in detail about them.

New Kia Sorento: Exterior
The facelifted model receives a redesigned front profile to fit T-shaped headlamps with a higher daytime running light strip flanking the Kia emblem. Interestingly, the badge has been moved to the bottom of the hood and is now located there rather than on the grille. The lower air intake, which still has separate fog lights, and the grille have new looks. The model also gets a silver skid plate, and the vertical air curtains appear bigger.
Sideways, not much has been changed aside from the bigger multi-spoke wheels in a brand-new design. At the back, the taillights carry forward being vertically divided into two separate sections, but they now feature a connected LED signature. The fake exhausts are missing, along with the Sorento badging. Compared to earlier, the faux skid plates on the back are much more noticeable.
New Kia Sorento: Interior
The updated dashboard of the brand-new Kia Sorento has a unique design. It also includes twin 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and an infotainment screen. Additionally, the Kia vehicle boasts brand-new circular air conditioning vents. Although the steering wheel remains the same as before, the central console has a rotary gear selector rather than a more conventional rod-type setup. A fingerprint authentication system is located on the centre console of the new Sorento. Additional notable features include Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, Kia Connect car connectivity, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, and more.

New Kia Sorento: Launch
As mentioned, the revised model will be first introduced in South Korea, followed by a launch in other countries, including the U.S. market.
