2025 BYD Atto 3, Seal Launched in India; Check What's New

BYD has rolled out enhancements for the 2025 iterations of its Atto 3 and Seal models, reinforcing its dedication to innovation and customer-centric improvements. These upgrades focus on refining features and overall performance. In India, BYD has recorded sales of 1,300 units of the Seal sedan and 3,100 units of the Atto 3 SUV. Reservations for both electric vehicles are now open, with booking amounts set at Rs 30,000 for the Atto 3 and Rs 1.25 lakh for the Seal. Additionally, the automaker has announced a special offer, allowing the first 3,000 customers to secure the 2025 Atto 3 at its 2024 price. Now, let’s delve into the latest updates in detail.

2025 BYD Atto 3: What's New?

The BYD Atto 3 comes in three trims: Dynamic, Premium, and Superior, with ex-showroom prices spanning from Rs 24.99 lakh to Rs 33.99 lakh. The SUV continues to showcase its futuristic and aerodynamically refined design, boasting a bold stance, streamlined profile, and distinctive LED lighting elements. While the exterior remains unchanged, the cabin has a few updates in the form of an all-black theme and ventilated seats. Key interior highlights include wireless charging, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, and smartphone connectivity.

On the safety front, the model retains ABS with EBD, six airbags, and a well-rounded ADAS package with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist.

The Atto 3 houses an upgraded low-voltage battery system, replacing the traditional lead-acid battery with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) variant. This enhancement provides greater reliability, an extended 15-year lifespan, and improved self-discharge characteristics. The vehicle continues to utilise BYD's Blade Battery technology, offering two options: a 49.92kWh battery with a range of 345 km and a 60.48kWh battery with a range of 420 km, both certified under the ARAI standards.

2025 BYD Seal: Key Updates

The updated BYD Seal boasts several refinements across all variants. One notable addition is the powered sunshade, previously an optional extra. This feature helps regulate cabin temperature. Enhancements extend to the vehicle’s climate control system, which boasts improved air conditioning and air purification for a more comfortable ride.

The mid-range Premium variant has been upgraded with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), a suspension technology, earlier reserved for the top-of-the-line Performance model. Meanwhile, the latter variant now integrates BYD’s advanced DiSus-C suspension system, which dynamically adapts to optimise ride comfort and stability. Furthermore, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come as standard, ensuring seamless smartphone connectivity.
