Good news for fans of the Honda brand name! The Acura Integra Prototype is set to be revealed on November 11, 2021.
The original Acura Integra, which was launched back in 1986, has been a favourite amongst enthusiasts ever since it first arrived on the scene. Especially if you consider the more hardcore models like the legendary Type R. Over the years, the Integra has gained a steady following, specifically in the North American market. Earlier this year, the Chinese market saw a revival of Integra in the form of a sedan, which by the way, is exclusive to China.
However, Honda has recently announced that it will be revealing more details on the Integra Prototype on November 11. What we know so far is the fact that it will be a four-door hatchback and will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox. The teaser images also show the Integra logo just below the head and tail light. There’s also that distinctly sloped roofline, which adds to the overall visual appeal. It is expected that the prototype model to be unveiled next week will be a pretty close mock-up to the final production model.
Furthermore, Acura is also expected to bring about a more powerful version of the Integra eventually, one which could be powered by the same engines that come fitted to the latest-gen Honda Civic Type R. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait for more details to come out on November 11. It goes without saying that the chances of the Integra ever coming to India are next to zero, but maybe we could get Civic Type R, someday?
