All-Black Mahindra BE 6 Special Edition Teased Ahead of August 14 Reveal

Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the new BE6 Shadow Edition as the teaser image reveals the silhouette of the upcoming variant, which will debut a day before the company’s Independence Day showcase. This launch is part of Mahindra’s plan to expand its electric vehicle lineup in India. The BE6 Shadow Edition is expected to feature a black exterior with glossy accents on the front, rear, and alloy wheels. Mahindra has not officially confirmed the name, but the design aligns with the brand’s recent cosmetic special editions like the Scorpio N Carbon Edition and XUV700 Ebony Edition. If the teaser is accurate, the upcoming BE6 will be called the Shadow Edition.

This will be Mahindra’s first special edition electric SUV. It is likely to have an all-black interior to match the exterior theme. The focus appears to be on design upgrades rather than performance changes, targeting EV buyers looking for distinctive styling.

The standard Mahindra BE6 electric SUV comes in five trims with prices starting at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It offers two battery pack options, 59 kWh and 79 kWh, with the larger one delivering a claimed range of up to 683km per charge. The Shadow Edition is expected to retain these powertrain choices while adding unique visual elements.
