Luxury cars like the Audi Q7 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class are no longer just dreams for aspiring buyers in India. Thanks to the government’s recent GST rate cuts, several premium models have become significantly more affordable, with prices dropping by lakhs. Buyers can now enjoy the best of both worlds, which is buying luxury cars at lower prices than before, without compromising on features and upgrades. So, if luxury is your next goal when buying a car in India, here are some of the options to consider post-GST cut.
Following the GST revision, the luxury SUV is now priced at Rs 86.14 lakh, compared to the earlier Rs 92.29 lakh. This translates to savings of up to Rs 6.15 lakh.

The Q7 features a 3-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology that delivers 335bhp and 500Nm, and is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and quattro AWD.

Post the GST cut, the E-Class 450 4Matic LWB is available for Rs 91 lakh. This marks a substantial price reduction of Rs 6 lakh from the car's previous price of Rs 97 lakh. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB offers multiple powertrain options, including 2-litre turbocharged petrol, turbo-diesel, and a 3.0-litre, turbo-petrol. All versions come with a 48V mild-hybrid system.

The long wheelbase version is now priced at Rs 72.40 lakh, reflecting a drop of around Rs 4.10 lakh from its previous price of Rs 76.50 lakh. It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, and a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.

The price of the SUV has reduced significantly by up to Rs 18.60 after the GST cut. Notably, the maximum savings are available on the Defender Octa Edition One. The Land Rover Defender in India offers a diverse range of powertrains (across different body styles), including a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol, a larger 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel with a mild-hybrid system, and two high-performance V8 petrol options: a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 and a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid. All engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Thanks to recent GST cuts, the Wrangler has become more affordable, with prices dropping by up to Rs 4.84 lakh. With this, the SUV now starts at Rs 68.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 268bhp and 400Nm, and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4x4 system.
