Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Hyundai has launched the Creta EV at a starting price of Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) during the Auto Expo 2025. The Creta Electric brings forward the best of the ICE version and adds new highlights like a boss seat function and rain-sensing wipers. It offers two battery packs, both using Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) cells, which provide superior energy density and compactness compared to LFP batteries. Hyundai supports the battery with an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty, alongside a 3-year car warranty for added assurance

Hyundai Creta Electric: Powertrain

The Creta EV offers two battery options: a 42kWh with a range of 390 km and a 51.4kWh with a range of 473 km. The battery pack is smoothly integrated into the SUV’s underbody, showcasing a distinctive design with a subtle protrusion.

The 42kWh variant produces 133bhp, whereas the 51.4kWh version generates 169bhp. The Creta EV features an 11 kW AC charger, which can completely charge the 51.4kWh battery in just four hours and 50 minutes. It also offers a DC fast charging option, enabling the battery to go from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes.

Hyundai Creta Electric: Exterior 

The Creta Electric looks very similar to the regular model, with the same split headlights and inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. However, it has some unique touches, like a closed grille and revised bumpers with active air flaps. From the side, the design stays the same, with a black roof and pillars, but the eye-catching 17-inch aero-styled alloy wheels are a fresh addition. The only change on the rear is a bit modified bumper, while the taillights are the same as the regular Creta’s.

Hyundai Creta Electric: Interior and Features 

The e-SUV offers plenty of storage with a 22-litre frunk and a 433-litre boot. Its 2610mm wheelbase provides ample cabin space and comfort for passengers. The seats are made from eco-friendly materials, and the 8-way powered front seats add extra comfort for the driver and co-driver.

The cabin’s design is familiar, but an elegant grey and navy-blue colour scheme add a fresh look. Hyundai has equipped the electric Creta with a new 3-spoke steering wheel and moved the gear selector to the steering column, creating a sleek, minimalist console.

In terms of features, The Creta EV has a pair of 10.25-inch digital screens – one for the infotainment system and another for the driver display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, and ventilated front seats.

Other highlights include a digital key, an in-car payment option, a foldable tray table, and an EV-specific one-pedal driving mode.

Hyundai Creta Electric: Safety Suite

The Creta EV has ISOFIX child seat mounts, six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, and a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), offering features like forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
