Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: The Creta has been Hyundai's best-seller for years, and now it’s further expanding its appeal with the new electric variant, which starts at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). To build on the SUV’s impressive range, Hyundai showcased the Creta Flex Fuel variant at the Auto Expo. While this version isn’t entering production anytime soon, it underscores Hyundai’s commitment to advancing sustainable technologies.

The Flex Fuel variant has a 1.0-litre GDI turbo petrol engine that produces 118bhp and 172Nm (also seen in the Hyundai Venue 1.0 and i20). However, the unit has been specifically tuned to run on ethanol alone, with no petrol mix, ensuring smooth operation. It has a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Besides the Flex-fuel technology, the SUV remains unchanged.
