Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Isuzu has taken a significant step into the electric vehicle market by displaying the D-Max EV concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This electric pickup truck blends the ruggedness of traditional D-Max models with modern electric technology, emphasising performance and capability. Equipped with a full-time all-wheel-drive system and a high-power motor configuration, the D-Max EV promises towing capabilities and overall performance comparable to its diesel-powered counterparts. The concept underlines Isuzu’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a greener future in the pickup segment. The D-Max EV Concept is designed with Europe as its primary target market, with its debut scheduled for 2025 in select regions such as Norway. Afterward, the D-Max BEV will gradually be introduced to other locations, including Thailand, the UK, Australia, and additional nations, based on market demand and the development of EV charging infrastructure in those areas.

Isuzu D-Max EV Concept: Battery Pack

The D-Max EV concept is powered by a 66.9kWh battery and dual electric motors, one on each axle, producing a total of 175bhp and 325Nm of torque. While still in development, the vehicle is projected to offer a range of 300km on a full charge. Built with Isuzu’s hallmark durability, the D-Max EV is capable of carrying a 1,000kg payload and towing up to 3.5 tonnes.

The electric pickup also boasts rapid charging, enabling the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in under an hour, offering the perfect balance of innovation and Isuzu’s durable, adventure-ready nature.

This concept exemplifies Isuzu’s entry into the electric vehicle market, combining advanced powertrain technology with the rugged performance that the brand is renowned for, ensuring it remains a practical, high-performing option for future electric mobility.

Isuzu D-Max EV Concept: Design Highlights

The Isuzu D-Max EV concept combines the brand's traditional rugged appeal with a modern, cutting-edge design. Its front is defined by a sleek, grille-less structure featuring rectangular accents, sharp LED headlights, and a lit-up Isuzu emblem. The sides are marked by muscular wheel arches and dynamic body lines, enhancing its strong, off-road character, while large alloy wheels emphasise its robust build.

The rear adopts a clean, minimalistic tailgate design paired with distinctive LED taillights, completing the truck's contemporary look. 

Isuzu D-Max EV Concept: Interior Features

The interior of the Isuzu D-Max EV concept combines high-end materials with an intuitive, minimalist design. A large digital display for the driver and a sharp touchscreen infotainment system are prominently featured on the dashboard, offering seamless access to connectivity, navigation, and vehicle functions.

The concept also includes innovative features like a 360-degree camera system, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), dual-zone climate control, and a wireless charging pad for phones, providing both convenience and comfort for an enhanced driving experience.
