Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: New Mini Cooper S JCW Launched at Rs 55.90 Lakh

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Mini has launched the Cooper S with the JCW Pack at Rs 55.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new variant of the Cooper S are now underway, while deliveries are scheduled to commence in April 2025. Along with Mini, BMW and its vertical for powerful two-wheelers introduced a handful of fascinating models at the Auto Expo 2025 to keep things interesting for its enthusiasts across the globe. The new BMW X3 went on sale for Rs 75.80 lakh, while the BMW S 1000 RR and BMW R 1300 GS are now priced at Rs 21.10 lakh and Rs 22.95 lakh, respectively. Coming back to the Mini, the Cooper S JCW has sharper, sportier styling and a more potent engine. Here's all you need to know about the hatch in detail. 

Mini Cooper S JCW: Exterior and Interior

The standard Cooper S keeps the spirit of its iconic predecessors while adding several notable contemporary highlights. However, the John Cooper Works Pack enhances the appearance with more aggressive and sportier elements.

The JCW version distinguishes itself from the standard Cooper with a blacked-out grille, iconic three-color John Cooper Works logo, larger air vents, and exclusive LED DRLs. The sporty look is enhanced at the rear with a black diffuser, a new spoiler, and a centrally mounted tailpipe. Red accents are strategically placed throughout, further emphasising the hatch's performance-oriented character.

The JCW model's interior boasts a striking red and black colour combination, and sporty black synthetic leather seats, adorned with multi-coloured knit fabric and bold red stitching. While the cabin maintains the brand's signature playful charm, and retains the signature floating circular infotainment screen, among other features. A special JCW sports steering wheel adds to the sporty look. 

Mini Cooper S JCW: Powertrain

The new Mini JCW is powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine found in the standard Cooper, but with significant upgrades. It now generates 227.8bhp and 380Nm, which is a 27bhp and 80Nm boost over the standard model.

This powertrain is paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox featuring paddle shifters, a feature absent in the standard Cooper S. The Mini John Cooper Works can accelerate from 0-100kkm/h in 6.1 seconds, and attain a top speed of 250km/h.
