Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Porsche Macan EV Launched at Rs 1.21 Crore in India

Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: Porsche, the renowned German sports car brand, has launched the Macan EV at Auto Expo 2025. The starting price for the base RWD variant of the Macan EV is Rs 1.21 crore (ex-showroom). The Macan EV lineup in India now includes three trim levels, with the newly introduced base RWD and 4S variants, and the top-spec Turbo variant priced at Rs 1.68 crore (ex-showroom). Design-wise, Macan models offer a variety of new customisation options, including a 20-inch Macan S wheel and an off-road design package, both of which can be complemented by the new Slate Grey Neo exterior paint. The off-road package enhances the vehicle’s capabilities by increasing ground clearance to 195mm and improving the approach angle to 17.4 degrees.

Additionally, the standard air suspension can boost clearance to a maximum of 225mm. The package also includes redesigned elements such as the front bumper, side skirts, and diffuser, along with 21-inch off-road wheels and roof rails that can be painted in Vesuvius Grey or matching body colour.

Porsche Macan EV: Mechanical Details

The Porsche Macan Turbo Electric offers 576bhp in standard mode, but with Launch Control and Overboost activated, this increases to 630bhp and 1,130Nm of torque. The EV is available in both the base RWD and the 4S variants in India. The Turbo 4S delivers 442bhp in normal mode and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds. The 4S variant is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) for electronic damping control. Additionally, it features Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and rear-axle steering for better performance and handling.

The Macan Turbo Electric is powered by a 100kWh battery and built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. It supports rapid charging at up to 270 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. The vehicle offers a WLTP range between 518 km and 590 km, while its urban WLTP range can extend from 670 km to 762 km.

Porsche Macan EV: Interior

The cabin retains its 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Optional features include a 10.9-inch display for the passenger, an augmented reality head-up display, and an ambient lighting system featuring a communication light.

Every Macan model comes with displays that showcase a refined design, a unique welcome animation, and the innovative Themes app. This app allows users to personalise the ambient lighting and adjust the display background colours to complement the vehicle's exterior shade.
