BMW expands the 3 Series Gran Turismo lineup in India.

BMW has launched the 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport in India. The latest version of the 3GT has a number of new elements and features. The Sport variant will only be available in the 320d diesel trim.

The exterior of the new 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport gets design features in black both at the front and rear. The signature kidney grille slats in high-gloss is the most prominent change up front. The new variant is offered in non-metallic Alpine White, metallic Black Sapphire and Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect colour options.

The interior of the new Sport variant features fine-wood trim Ash Grain and highlight trim finisher in Pearl Chrome. Red contrast stitching on the sport steering wheel and gear shift paddles further emphasise the sporty vibe. Furthermore, there is a 205W, nine speaker Hi-Fi system for a good acoustic experience. The range of upholstery combinations on the new variant include Sensatec Black/Red highlight, Black and Sensatec Veneto Beige and Veneto Beige.

The sole engine on offer in the Gran Turismo Sport variant is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that’s good for producing 187bhp of max power and 400Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a ZF 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The car is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.7 seconds. BMW also offers launch control as standard on the 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport.

Locally assembled at BMW Group’s plant Chennai, the new BMW 320d Gran Turismo Sport is priced at ₹46.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
