BMW India has rolled out the updated iX1 Long Wheelbase with new colour and upholstery choices, and bookings are now open at authorised dealerships across the country. The SUV continues to be assembled at the brand’s Chennai plant, keeping production local for the Indian market. BMW has kept the technical setup unchanged but added more exterior and interior options for buyers who want a bit more freedom when configuring their EV. The idea is to give customers extra personalisation without touching the drivetrain or performance numbers. The updated paint line-up now includes Night Dusk Blue metallic, joining Carbon Black, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey. This takes the exterior palette to four shades.

The SUV continues with the same dimensions at 4,616mm in length, 1,892mm in width, and 1,656mm in height, along with a 2,800mm wheelbase and 203mm ground clearance.
BMW has added two Veganza upholstery choices inside the cabin. The plant-based material sits in place of leather. Smoke White with Atlas Grey offers a dual-tone layout across seats, door trims, dashboard, and speaker surrounds. Castanea delivers a single-tone finish for users who want a cleaner layout. Both trims come with a 3D stitching pattern. Ambient lighting with multiple colour modes helps set the mood during night drives.

BMW iDrive 9 runs the infotainment system through a 10.7-inch touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.
Power continues to come from BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive system. A rear-mounted motor generates 204bhp and 250Nm, supported by a 66.4kWh battery pack. The SUV completes 0-100km/h in 8.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180km/h. BMW claims a driving range of 531km under MIDC conditions. The iX1 LWB also offers adaptive recuperation and one-pedal driving for easier energy recovery in traffic.
Charging hardware includes an 11kW AC charger that completes a full charge in 6.3 hours. A 130kW DC fast charger handles 10-80 per cent in 29 minutes. Bidirectional charging lets users power external devices. Safety tech includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, dynamic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
