BMW Launches Their New SUVs X5 M & X6 M

BMW launches the high performance X5 M and X6 M luxury SUVs at Rs. 1.55 crore and Rs. 1.60 crore ex-showroom, respectively

BMW has launched high performance avatars of its X5 and X6 SUVs in India with X5 M and X6 M badges. While both the BMW X5 and X6 have been on sale in India with 3.0 litre straight six turbocharged diesel engines, the new M models are powered by a 4.4 litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine that is capable of developing max power and torque outputs of 575bhp between 6,000 – 6,500 rpm and 750Nm of torque spread between 2,200 – 5,000 rpm, respectively. Both vehicles feature an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox and both vehicles also feature BMW’s xDrive four-wheel drive system.

And despite the fact that both these luxury SUVs weigh over 2.2 tonnes, they are capable of going from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. Top speed for the two SUVs is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The BMW X5 M is priced at Rs. 1.55 crore ex-showroom, while the X6 M is priced at Rs. 1.60 crore ex-showroom.
