With the Black Fire Edition, the exterior of both vehicles is finished in Sapphire Black Metallic paint and bars on the kidney grille are also finished in black. Both the X5 M and X6 M get forged 21-inch M blacked out alloy wheels and feature a mixed size of wheels from front to back. These wheels are weight optimised allowing for an ideal transfer of power from the TwinPower Turbo V8 engines in both vehicles. The exclusive edition also features carbon caps for the outside rear view mirrors.

The interiors of the Black Fire Edition have also been given similar blacked out treatment with red accents on the dash and seats. At the front, you get electronically adjustable seats wrapped in Merino leather, in contrasting Black and Mugello Red. The upholstery around the cabin is also finished in similar black leather and red contrast stitching. The headliner is finished in black Alcantara and so is the multifunction steering wheel. The steering wheel gets light-blue stitching. The front of the dash on the passenger side features a glossy panel with the X5 M/X6 M edition Black Fire logo.

The X5 M and X6 M are both powered by a 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic M tuned transmission. The engine churns out 567bhp and 760Nm of torque, allowing the SUVs to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.2 seconds, aided by the rear-biased xDrive four-wheel drive system.
