As the shift towards electric vehicles grows, the eMAX 7 is recognised for its eco-friendly powertrain and advanced technology, while the Innova Hycross with its hybrid power maintains Toyota's reputation for reliability and practicality. This comparison will highlight the key differences between the two models, focusing on aspects such as performance, interior features, safety, and pricing. BYD eMAX 7 vs Toyota Innova Hycross Spec Comparison: Price Details

The BYD eMax 7 can be had in two variants – Premium and Superior – with prices ranging from Rs 26.90 lakh to Rs 29.90 lakh. In comparison, the non-hybrid versions of the Innova Hycross are priced between Rs 18.92 lakh and Rs 21.13 lakh, while the hybrid models range from Rs 25.97 lakh to Rs 30.98 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

E MAX 7 Rear

The BYD eMax 7 measures 4,710mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,690mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800mm. In contrast, the Toyota model comes with a length of 4,755mm, a width of 1,845mm, a height of 1,785mm, and a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The Innova Hycross is longer by 45mm, wider by 35mm, and taller by 95mm than the BYD eMax 7, and it also features a wheelbase that is 50mm longer.

On the mechanical front, the BYD eMAX 7 offers two battery choices: a 55.4kWh option with a range of 420 km and a 71.8kWh option that provides 530 km. The 55.4kWh battery is available with the Premium variant, while the 71.8kWh battery comes with the high-end Superior variant. The Premium model features an upgraded front-wheel-drive motor, delivering 161bhp, while the Superior model produces a maximum power of 201bhp.

The Hycross houses two engine options: a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, strong hybrid configuration. When combined with an e-CVT transmission, the strong hybrid system produces 183bhp, with the engine delivering 188Nm of torque and the electric motor providing 206Nm. In contrast, the petrol-only variant comes with a CVT gearbox, generating 173bhp and 209Nm of peak torque. The car offers a driving range of 1,208 km.

E MAX 7 Interior

In their respective top-of-the-line models, both vehicles sport dual digital displays, a powered driver’s seat featuring a memory function, wireless phone mirroring, a comprehensive LED lighting setup, level-2 ADAS, and a powered tailgate. However, the eMax 7 offers both six-seat and seven-seat configurations, while the premium version of the Hycross is limited to a six-seat setup that provides more luxury. This includes amenities like an ottoman feature, a boss package, and tray tables.

In terms of safety, both cars include six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, three-point seat belts, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera, and rear cross-traffic detection.
