BYD has revised the pricing of the Sealion 7 Premium variant in India by Rs 50,000, bringing its ex-showroom price to Rs 49.40 lakh. The price revision does not apply to customers who booked the SUV on or before December 31, 2025, as they will be billed at the earlier price of Rs 48.90 lakh. Additionally, the Sealion 7 Performance version remains unaffected by the price hike and is still priced at Rs 54.90 lakh.
All prices are ex-showroom. Commenting on the price hike, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said, 'The updated pricing reflects the evolving cost dynamics while continuing to offer customers a compelling premium electric SUV proposition.
The BYD Sealion 7 remains a strong value offering, backed by its advanced electric architecture, high performance, and comprehensive safety package. Since its launch, the BYD Sealion 7 has crossed 2,300 units in sales across India, reinforcing the growing acceptance and demand for premium electric SUVs in the market.'
The BYD Sealion 7 is available with two drivetrain options, both of which extract power from an 82.6kWh battery pack. The rear-wheel-drive version produces 308bhp and 380Nm of torque and offers a claimed range of up to 560 kilometres on a single charge. The all-wheel-drive variant steps up to 523bhp and 690Nm, with a slightly reduced range of 530 kilometres.

The Sealion 7 highlights BYD’s Ocean Series design philosophy with a sharp, contemporary silhouette that merges SUV proportions with coupe-inspired elements. The front looks minimalistic, with features like a blanked-off grille, sleek LED headlamps, and aggressive bumper detailing. The flowing roofline adds to the sporty stance, while flush door handles, sculpted wheel arches with contrasting cladding, and dual-tone alloys enhance dynamic appeal. The rear design is completed with a full-width LED light bar, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a chunky bumper.

At the heart of the cabin is a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, seamlessly integrating Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and control over multiple vehicle systems. BYD has equipped the electric SUV with ventilated front seats, a memory-equipped power driver’s seat, a head-up display, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker audio system, a panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.
