Chevrolet Trailblazer prices slashed by Rs. 3.04 lakh

General Motors has given the Chevrolet Trailblazer a price cut of Rs. 3.04 lakh. The American SUV is now priced at Rs. 23.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

After Ford slashed the prices of the Endeavour recently by up to 2.82 lakh, Chevrolet too has slashed the prices of the Trailblazer by Rs. 3.04 lakh. The Trailblazer has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 26.99 lakh, after the price cut, the Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ is now available for Rs. 23.95 lakh to make it more competitive in the market.

The Trailblazer is only available in India in the LTZ trim as a 4x2 with a Duramax 2.8-litre engine that develops 198bhp and 500Nm of torque and is only available with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The price cut of the Trailblazer comes at a very strategic time after Ford made the Endeavour more affordable recently by up to Rs. 2.82 lakh, and Toyota is about to launch the all new Fortuner in India on November 7^th. In addition, the price cut could also mean that the company is trying shift the remaining stock of the vehicle as the Chevrolet’s dealer network has only managed to shift less than 50 units in eight months from January to August 2016. It could also pave the way for the facelifted Trailblazer that has been on sale in other international markets already, to arrive in India.

While the Endeavour and the Fortuner are both assembled locally for sale in the Indian market, the Trailblazer however is a direct import as a CBU. Which results in a three month long waiting period for the Trailblazer which does not help in attracting buyers.
