Citroen Aircross Gets 5-star Crash Test Safety Rating from Bharat NCAP: Watch Video

Citroen Aircross has earned a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, making it one of the safest mid-size SUVs on sale in India. The SUV was tested in several crash scenarios to see how well it could protect both adults and children. Bharat NCAP’s creash test process included detailed checks for crash impact, strength of the car’s body, and safety for all people in the vehicle. Aircross scored well in every area, showing it can handle tough accident situations and keep its passengers safe. For many Indian buyers, safety ratings are now very important when picking a new car. This top rating for the Aircross is set to affect how people choose their next SUV.

The tests included head-on (frontal) and side crash trials that are similar to real accidents. The Aircross kept its inside space solid during these tests and protected everyone inside, scoring 27.05 out of 32. Even at high crash speeds, the car’s body bent very little, which helped the Aircross meet the highest safety marks and gave strong safety to drivers and passengers.

Bharat NCAP also looked at how well the Aircross kept children safe. The SUV did well when experts checked how child seats are fitted and how safe they keep young kids. The car scored 40 out of 49 in the child occupant protection. All versions of the Aircross have ISOFIX mounts, making it easy for parents to fix child seats quickly. For Indian families, this means more peace of mind and easier safety for young passengers. The Aircross’s strong safety record also comes from its features like airbags, ABS, and stability control, all of which come as standard.
