Citroen has revealed exterior images of the new C3 Aircross for the European market. The SUV now has a boxier, more upright stance, which adds to its tough appearance. It is similar to the Euro-spec C3 hatchback, with notable differences such as a muscular-looking front bumper with silver accents and black cladding, distinctive C-shaped taillamps, and a contoured tailgate. In addition, the SUV has bigger wheels than its smaller sibling. The Euro-spec variant is 4,390mm long and can accommodate up to seven passengers. It is longer than the Citroen C3 Aircross sold in India, which measures 4,323mm in length. The newly announced C3 Aircross uses the same Stellantis Smart Car chassis as the new Citroen C3 and Vauxhall Frontera available in Europe. Let's take a closer look at the SUV, which will be on sale in Europe soon.

Euro-spec Citroen C3 Aircross: Other Highlights

The cabin specifications of the Citroen C3 Aircross are currently unknown, but the French automaker stated that the SUV will offer three-row seating as an option and have a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. In the official press statement, Citroen highlighted ''The all-new C3 Aircross changes dimension to reach a length of 4.39 meters, providing greater interior space. The balanced proportions of its silhouette hint at a very long wheelbase, the largest in its category. This allows for more legroom for rear passengers. Another element made possible by the size of C3 Aircross and revealed by its style: the design of the quarter panel provides a dynamic and vertical rear end, ensuring good habitability for occupants in the third row. This is a major innovation in the segment, offering the ability to comfortably accommodate up to 7 people onboard with two foldable seats in the trunk.''

Citroen has disclosed that the Euro-spec model will have electric, hybrid, and petrol powertrain options. It did not, however, reveal the precise details of these power configurations. More details on this subject are expected to emerge closer to the launch.

In India, the C3 Aircross is available with a single 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. It comes with several features such as a 10.2-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 7-inch digital driver's display, twin front airbags, a hill-hold assist, and rear parking sensors. The Citroen C3 Aircross in India starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
