Citroen C3 Shine Variant Launched in India at Rs 7.60 Lakh; Gets New Safety Features

Citroen has launched the C3 Shine in the Indian market. The Citroen C3 Shine is offered in 4 different versions – the 1.2P Shine, 1.2P Shine Vibe Pack, 1.2P Shine Dual Tone, and 1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The prices of the car start at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.2P Shine trim and go up to Rs 7.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.2P Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack variant. Also, the newly launched C3 Shine complies with stricter BS6 Phase II or RDE (real driving emission) norms. It is positioned above the 1.2P Feel Dual Tone Vibe Pack trim. In the Indian market, the car locks horns with the Tata Punch and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.

Citroen C3 Shine: New Features

The C3 Shine gets a list of new features as well. On offer is an electrically adjustable ORVM, a rear parking camera, a day/night IRVM, 15-inch diamond cut alloys, front fog lamps, rear skid plates, rear defogger, rear wiper and washer. Besides, it is also equipped with the My Citroen Connect app, with 35 smart connectivity features. 

In terms of safety, the car features hill-hold control, electronic stability control, engine auto start/stop, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Here is a look at the variant-wise listing of the prices of the Citroen C3, including the C3 Shine. All prices are ex-showroom. 

Citroen C3 Shine: Powertrain, Performance 

The Citroen C3 Shine is only offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated BS6 Phase II-compliant petrol engine, which produces 81bhp of power and 115Nm of peak torque through a 5-speed manual transmission.

But, it could also get another 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, according to industry reports. The turbo petrol unit will deliver 108bhp of maximum power and 190Nm of peak torque through a 6-speed manual transmission.
