Porsche, according to reports, wants at least 80% of its sales to be from electric vehicles by 2030. Going ahead with the plan, the carmaker is looking to launch the fully electric Porsche Cayenne SUV in 2026. Both domestic and international automakers are increasingly adopting the EV route to enhance their dominance in the ever-changing automotive industry. Porsche is no different, as the company is preparing for several EV launches shortly. At its annual press conference, the carmaker announced that the all-electric Cayenne is on its way. The SUV will come two years after the Macan EV, scheduled for 2024, and one year after the 718's anticipated 2025 all-electric debut. According to the carmaker, the upcoming electric version of the Cayenne SUV will be founded on the fourth generation and not the third.

The electric version of the SUV has been in speculation since 2021. Now, the carmaker has confirmed its arrival. The Cayenne was the most popular of these, selling 95,604 units.
