Honda Elevate

Putting to rest the speculation over the name of its upcoming mid-size offering, Honda Cars India Ltd., has officially confirmed that its all-new SUV will be called the 'Elevate'. As per the car manufacturer, the Elevate is deemed the global model in Honda's lineup and will cater to international markets owing to their robust demand for SUVs and cars. The new model will make its global debut on June 6 in India, which will be followed by its launch in the domestic market first. Thereafter, the Honda Elevate will go on sale in the foreign land. The upcoming SUV will be based on the same platform as the fifth-generation Honda City, which comes with an affordable price tag for both petrol and e:HEV versions. It will lock horns with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Kia Seltos, when launched in the country.

Honda Elevate: Exterior Details

As mentioned previously in our story, the new Honda Elevate will draw its design inspiration from the CR-V and the new-generation WR-V sold globally. Up front, it could feature LED headlights, a big radiator grille with chrome accents, and daytime running lights assuming a slim, whisker-like design. Furthermore, it could have a broad bonnet, a flat roof with roof rails, short front overhangs, claddings on the side, muscular wheel arches, wraparound tail lights, and a silver skid plate. The car's bumper could receive a dual-tone finish, and the length and width of the new Honda Elevate will be covered in the black cladding.

The mid-size Elevate SUV is expected to have a long wheelbase that will measure between 4.2 and 4.3 metres in length. It is believed that it could ride on dual-tone alloy wheels, probably measuring 17-inch in size. In all, the Elevate will get a boxy look and will come with proper SUV proportions suitable for cruising on highways.
