At the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, Genesis unveiled the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible concepts, both derived from the brand's flagship G90 sedan. These concepts embody Genesis' "Athletic Elegance" design philosophy, featuring sleek silhouettes and refined details inspired by the Mediterranean landscape. The X Gran Coupe showcases a sloped windshield and lower roofline, enhancing its dynamic profile, while the X Gran Convertible boasts a bold beltline that seamlessly transitions from the roof to the body. Both interiors incorporate materials and motifs reflecting Mediterranean influences, such as olive wood accents and colours reminiscent of Tuscan wine. These concepts highlight Genesis' commitment to blending luxury with innovative design.
The 2025 models, both evolutions of the earlier Genesis X concept, continue with a two-door format that distinguishes them from the four-door G90 sedan they are derived from. The design showcases frameless doors with recessed, flush handles.
Though rooted in the G90, the concepts take a dramatically different design approach. They feature lower rooflines, minimalist rear lighting that spans the car's width, a sleeker silhouette with sharply sloped windscreens, and redesigned five-point alloy wheels.

At the front, Genesis’ signature crest grille is reimagined with a 3D mesh that evokes braided metalwork in a refined diamond pattern, flanked by slender quad light bars.
Genesis says the X Gran Coupe Concept channels visual inspiration from Mediterranean olive trees. Its deep green paintwork is paired with an interior palette of green and brown, accented by olive wood trim. This wood features precision microperforations arranged to echo the branching patterns of olive trees.
The interiors of the X Gran Coupe and Convertible reinterpret the Genesis G90’s cabin design while preserving its core layout. Both models feature a clean, uncluttered dashboard, seamless touch interfaces for climate control, a floating infotainment unit, and a fully digital gauge cluster.
Genesis also incorporates shimmering crystal accents on the centre console, steering wheel, and air vents. The cabin further distinguishes itself with bespoke floor mats subtly embroidered with olive leaf patterns, a quilted leather headliner, and a finely finished steering wheel made of aluminium.

Despite earlier assumptions that these models would debut as EVs, Genesis has opted for a familiar powertrain: the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol unit from the G90, now paired with a mild-hybrid system, producing 409bhp at 5,800rpm.
