GST revision drives hike in Honda new car prices

Honda Car India releases revised price list for City, BR-V and CR-V after implementation of revised GST slabs for passenger cars.
After the recent revision in Goods and Services tax slabs for passenger cars, Honda Car India has announced a hike in prices for its cars that measure longer than four meters in length and for its high riding cars. As per the new revision, mid-size cars with engines larger than 1.5 litres will have to bear an additional 2 per cent in GST, while cars that measure longer in length than 4 meters and have engines larger than 1.5 litres will become bear a 5 per cent hike in GST. Meanwhile SUVs are subject to a 7 per cent hike in GST rates.
