The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed will be held between July 10 to 13, featuring some of the exciting cars from manufacturers across the world. Japanese automaker Honda is set to turn heads at the upcoming event with several models, including the 0 Series SUV concept and the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition. It will also showcase an intriguing new concept called the Super EV, which will preview a compact electric city car that offers a glimpse into the brand’s future in the A-segment. The compact hatch seems to have been designed keeping urban mobility in mind, promising everyday practicality and ‘joy of driving’.
The EV sports a tall roofline and boxy stance, and has design elements similar to those of the Honda e, like round, dark-cantered headlamps and flared wheel arches. The concept also features a centrally mounted charging port, a closed-off grille, and an upright windscreen.

For now, Honda hasn’t shared many details about the EV, but it has confirmed that development is already underway with a global market in mind. The camouflaged prototype, wrapped in a shade of purple, has been seen in testing, showing Honda's strong focus on refining the EV for a global launch.
Due to tougher emission rules, Honda will no longer sell the Civic Type R in Europe and the UK. To honour its 28-year legacy, the brand has introduced a limited Ultimate Edition. The model has a production run of 40 units and is adorned with distinctive badging and a signature Championship White finish accented by red stripes. It gets a contrasting black roof and carbon fibre elements that add to its aggressive, race-inspired styling.

The interior of the car features a sporty carbon fibre centre console and ambient lighting across key touchpoints such as the doors, cup holders, footwell, and under the seats. Mechanically, the Ultimate Edition packs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that produces 324bhp and 420Nm, and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It has a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 5.4 seconds.
