Hyundai has introduced the Knight Edition of the popular Alcazar SUV in India, with prices starting at Rs 21.66 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is based on the top-spec Signature trim (1.5-litre turbo-petrol DCT 7-seater), and it is approximately Rs 15,000 more expensive than that. Alongside this, Hyundai has also launched the Knight Editions of the i20 and the Creta Electric in India, priced from Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 21.45 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
The Hyundai Alcazar rivals prominent models in the segment, such as the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus. The introduction of an aggressive, all-black variant is expected to strengthen its ability to attract a wider audience in the market.

The Alcazar Knight Edition sets itself apart with an all-black identity, both inside and out. A lot of design elements, including side sill garnish, front and rear skid plates, ORVMs, and even the Hyundai logos, now sport a matte black finish.
Meanwhile, the red hue on the brake callipers adds the right amount of contrast, offering a sporty edge. The exclusive personality of the variant is marked by a Knight Edition emblem.

Inside, the dark theme remains consistent. The cabin is draped in black, from the dashboard to the seats. Brass accents add contrast, creating a bold appearance. Another notable feature is the new metal pedals.
Mechanically, the Alcazar Knight Edition offers only automatic powertrains. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine churns out 158bhp and 253Nm, and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine option offers 114.4bhp and 250Nm, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
