Hyundai adds three new variants to the Creta range - Anniversary Edition, E+ (petrol) and S+ diesel automatic.

Hyundai Creta is now a year old, and to mark the occasion its maker has launched not just one but three new variants of the compact-SUV. First of the new variants is of course the Anniversary Edition, followed by a new Éxecutive petrol trim and the  S+ Diesel automatic variant.

The Creta Anniversary Edition is based on the SX+ variant of the car. Like said before, here, the main highlight is its dual tone paint job, which is done by giving the roof and C-pillars a gloss black look. It also gets ‘jet wing-inspired’ body graphics and silver skid plates. Inside, the cabin is finished in sporty all-black theme dashboard with red accents, while all of the features and equipment are same as the SX+ variant. The Creta Anniversary Edition is available in both petrol (1.6 VTVT) and diesel (1.6 CRDi) models.

Next up is an all-new Executive variant (E+) that will be offered only with the petrol version.. The E+ is slightly better equipped than the base E variant, and gets a 5-inch touch screen infotainment including Bluetooth telephony. Apart from that it also gets roof rails, electrically adjustable ORVM with LED turn indicators & rear AC vents.

Last but not least is the S+ Diesel automatic variant that has now gone on sale in the country. Thus far, the diesel Creta automatic was only available with the SX+ variant. The S+, in comparison, misses out on a number of features but is around Rs 1 lakh cheaper. Like the SX+ diesel AT, the S+ AT will also be exclusive to the 1.6-litre CRDi engine.

Additionally, Hyundai has also introduced a new exterior shade for the Creta – Earth Brown.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava – Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Hyundai Motor India, said, “We would like to take this opportunity and express our gratitude to the customers who have shown trust in The Perfect SUV - Creta. As India’s most loved auto manufacturer, we are committed to bring best-in-class, modern and premium products for our aspirational customers. The introduction of three variants will add more value to the overall buying experience for customers.”

Prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the new variants are as follows:

1.6 VTVT E+ MT – Rs 9.99 lakh     -              -

1.6 CRDi S+ AT – Rs 13.58 lakh

1.6 VTVT SX+ Anniversary Edition MT – Rs 12.23 lakh

1.6 CRDi SX+ Anniversary Edition MT – Rs 13.76 lakh
