Hyundai Elite i20 achieves 1 lakh sales milestone

Hyundai Elite i20 has surpassed the 1 lakh sales milestone in India within 11 months of its launch, the Korean manufacturer has revealed in a statement. The premium hatchback has won 25 awards in the fiscal year 2014-15, including the prestigious Indian Car of the Year, 2015.

Celebrating this moment of success, Mr. B S Seo, MD & CEO, HMIL said, “We are overwhelmed with the customer’s response by receiving over unprecedented 100,000 sales for the Elite i20 in 11 months. This reflects the strong customer connect and confidence on Hyundai products.”

The Elite i20 is based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language and comes in both petrol and diesel options. The 1.2 Dual VTVT Kappa petrol engine offers best-in-class mileage of 18.60 km/l while the 2nd Generation U2 1.4 CRDi diesel engine propels the car to 22.54 km/l.
