Hyundai Motor India has launched the i20 Facelift at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift model has new alloy wheels and a revamped rear bumper, along with other improvements. The interior, however, remains precisely the same as it was before, except for the new dual-tone black and grey theme. With the update, the hatchback gets a new base-spec Era variant, which has lowered the model's starting price. In total, the facelift has five variants – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta(O) – and is offered in eight different paint schemes – Amazon Grey, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red with a black roof, and Atlas White with a black roof. Let's take a closer look at the other improvements and specifications of the new Hyundai i20 Facelift.

Hyundai i20 Facelift: Engine

The i20 is no longer available with the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. The revamped hatchback is now powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which generates 82bhp and 115Nm. A CVT automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission are available as gearbox options. The only versions with turbo-petrol will probably continue to be the N Line variants, which are due for a makeover soon.

Hyundai i20 Facelift: Exterior and Interior

The 2023 Hyundai i20 gets a new 16-inch alloy wheel design, a redesigned grille, headlamps with modified inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, and altered front and rear bumpers. Further, the new Hyundai symbol is now visible on the bonnet rather than the grille, just like the Hyundai Verna.

The interior is now finished in black and grey colours. Other than this, not much has changed. In terms of features, the only addition is the USB Type-C fast charging connectors. The updated i20 continues to have an electric sunroof, a seven-speaker Bose music system, a digital driver's display, wireless phone charging, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an air purifier. Six airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, ABS, and EBD are among the 26 safety features that the i20 gets as standard. Aside from this, Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity, OTA updates, and TPMS are also available.
