Hyundai has given the Staria MPV a new identity in the form of an all-electric version. The Staria Electric will go on sale in Korea and Europe in early 2026, with other markets to follow later. Hyundai had earlier showcased the ICE-powered Staria at the Auto Expo 2025 in India to evaluate customer interest, but the electric variant is not expected to arrive anytime soon. That said, a future India launch remains possible as the premium MPV segment continues to grow. The ICE model shown in India featured pixel-style lighting, swivel seats, a vertical touchscreen, and ventilated captain’s chairs. Here’s a closer look at the Hyundai Staria Electric.

The EV maintains the signature one-curve silhouette, large glasshouse, and a full-width LED lighting bar that highlights its wide stance. However, it stands out with a few EV-specific elements, including a closed-off front fascia with simplified geometric surfaces, replacing traditional air intakes to create a clean, modern look while improving aerodynamic efficiency. Pixel-style LED taillights and 17-inch wheels, wide sliding doors, and a large rear tailgate complete the exterior.
The Hyundai Staria Electric packs an 84kWh battery and 160 kW (215bhp) motor, which enables up to 400 kilometres of WLTP range. It comes with an advanced 800-volt system that allows rapid DC charging from 10 to 80% in about 20 minutes, while an 11 kW AC charger supports convenient home or workplace charging.
The interior of the Hyundai Staria Electric boasts space, comfort, and everyday practicality. Moreover, the adoption of smart storage solutions and flexible seating layouts enables diverse applications. At launch, the Staria Electric will be offered in two variants: the 7-seater Luxury, which prioritises passenger comfort with generous legroom, headroom, adjustable seating, and up to 435 litres of luggage space behind the third row; and the 9-seater Wagon, targeted at larger families and commercial use, offering up to 1,303 litres of cargo capacity with sliding and foldable seats.

Note that comfort features vary by variant, with heated and ventilated front and second-row seats standard on the Luxury model, while the Wagon offers front-seat heating and ventilation as an option. All versions come with dual sliding doors and a lift-up tailgate, with powered doors and tailgate standard on the Luxury variant and available as an option on the Wagon.
