Hyundai updates 2017 Elite i20

Hyundai have refreshed the Elite i20 and apart from receiving exterior and interior upgrades, the premium hatchback now boasts of a brand new colour — Marine Blue.

The Elite i20 comes with an option of dual tone exterior colours, but this is only available in the Asta trim and is priced at Rs 7.25 lakhs for petrol variant, while the diesel is available at  Rs 8.51 lakhs (both ex-showroom Delhi). The exterior dual tone is available in two options —Red Passion Body Colour with Phantom Black Roof and Polar White Body Color with Phantom Black Roof. Hyundai have ensured that the sporty look and feel is carried over into the cabin as it comes with black interiors with orange insets, similar to the i20 Active.

Hyundai is known as the king of features, therefore, they have decided to introduce a 7.0 touchscreen Audio Video Navigation, which easily connects with your smartphone thanks to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link.

Coming to powertrains, the Elite i20 retains the three engine options — 89bhp 1.4–litre diesel that comes with 6-speed manual transmission, 82bhp 1.2-litre petrol mated to 5-speed manual transmission and 1.4-litre 4-speed automatic transmission with an output of 99bhp.

Safety remains paramount for the South Korean manufacturer and that’s why the Elite i20 continues to be equipped with 6 airbags, including front dual, side and curtain airbags. The Elite i20 comes with convenience features like Smart Entry, Rear AC Vents, 16-inch alloy wheels and safety features like ABS, rear defogger and fog lamps.
