The Hyundai Venue has secured a five-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). Along with the Hyundai Venue N Line, the SUV has been tested by the agency and delivered results across categories. The tests were conducted on the updated models currently available in India. In a segment where buyers focus on features and price, safety is now a factor.

In adult occupant protection, the Venue scored 31.15 out of 32. In the frontal offset crash test, it achieved 15.15 out of 16, with the cabin structure remaining stable during impact. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the SUV scored 16 out of 16. These results indicate that the vehicle can maintain structural integrity and provide protection in both frontal and side collision scenarios.
Child occupant protection was recorded at 44.46 out of 49. In the dynamic test for child restraint systems, it secured 23.46 out of 24. The SUV also received full marks for child seat installation. ISOFIX anchor points on the rear outboard seats ensure that child seats can be installed, which supports safety during impact.
The units tested included diesel manual and automatic variants, both with a gross vehicle weight of 1,610kg. Test data showed protection for the head and neck of both the driver and front passenger. The driver’s chest protection was rated as adequate, while the passenger side received a good rating. Protection for the thighs and pelvis remained for both front occupants.
The Venue comes with standard safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers. It also includes anti-lock braking and electronic brake force distribution. Higher variants offer additional features such as tyre pressure monitoring, hill-start assist, and a 360-degree camera.
With this result, the Venue meets the safety standards set by BNCAP. The rating reflects the use of high-strength steel and energy-absorbing materials in its structure. This development is likely to influence the positioning of the Venue in the compact SUV segment in India, where safety is a consideration among buyers.
