Following the launch of the S(O) + variant of the Venue compact SUV, Hyundai has added a new variant to the SUV line-up. It is called the S+ and is positioned between the S and the S(O). At Rs 9.36 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hyundai Venue S+ adds an electric sunroof over the S variant it is based on. This makes it roughly Rs 64,000 more affordable than the S(O)+ variant, which the company recently launched with the same feature.
Aside from the said feature, the Venue S+ offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a digital instrument cluster with a colour TFT display. Other bits include rear AC vents as well as roof rails on the exterior. Safety-wise, the Venue S+ is equipped with automatic headlamps, six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, seatbelt reminder, a tyre pressure monitor, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

The Hyundai Venue currently ranges from Rs 7.94 lakh for the base E variant to Rs 13.48 lakh for the top-spec SX(O) Dual Tone Knight. The prices are ex-showroom, India. In terms of market competition, the Venue goes against the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Last month, Hyundai obtained the second position among the top car manufacturers in the Indian automotive market. With 49,013 units sold, Hyundai secured a market share of 14.29 per cent.
