Hyundai’s all-new 4S Fluidic Verna launched in India

India’s second biggest carmaker, today launched its latest offering – the 4S Fluidic Verna – in the Indian market starting from Rs. 7.74 lakhs.

Hyundai has come a long way from the time it came to India with its first generation Santro. From the uninspiring boxy look to the highly futuristic Fluidic designs, Hyundai has definitely evolved with time and how.

Taking the fashion statement further, the Korean car manufacturer today launched its all-new 4S Fluidic Verna in the Indian market. The 4S denotes the core values this car has been designed around – Speed, Style, Sophistication and Safety.

The new Verna will have four engine options – two petrol and two diesel. The 1.4-litre petrol engine will deliver 105bhp of maximum power and the 1.6-litre petrol engine will churn out a maximum of 121bhp. The highly torquey 1.4-litre diesel engine will have a maximum power of 89bhp and the 1.6-litre diesel engine will produce 126bhp of optimum power. The 1.6-litre variants will have optional automatic transmission whereas the diesel variants will have a six-speed manual gearbox against the 5-speed manual in the petrol variants. ARAI certified figures say that the 1.4-litre petrol variant will deliver a fuel efficiency of 17.4kmpl, the 1.6-litre petrol will give 17.01 kms per litre, the 1.4-litre diesel engine will go a staggering 24.8 kilometres in one litre of fuel, and the 1.6-litre diesel variant will have the figure of 23.9kmpl.

Some interesting features include things like push button start, automatic headlamps, escort lights, cooled glove box and a telescopic steering.

To make sure that the occupants in the car are as far from the danger as possible, the car has six airbags, ABS, speed sensing auto door lock, reverse parking camera, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.

This is the same Fluidic Verna that is being sold in 66 countries as you read this where it has 2.3 million very happy customers. It also is one of the few cars in this segment to have a 5-star rating from NCAP worldwide.
