Here’s a detailed look at how the India-spec Duster differs from its global sibling.
The grille on the India-spec Renault Duster replaces Dacia’s 'Link' logo with a prominent Duster lettering. The Y-shaped LED DRLs on the European model are also swapped for slim eyebrow-style LEDs and sharper headlamp clusters. The front bumper is more rugged, and it features a larger silver skid plate and pixel-style fog lamps. At the rear, the Indian version has opted for a market-preferred full-width connected LED taillamp bar, along with gloss-and-matte black tailgate trim and a standard shark-fin antenna, unlike the simpler global model. Other highlights are new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and functional roof rails. Renault has introduced a unique Indian launch edition featuring an exclusive Mountain Jade Green paint job, accented by yellow highlights and Himalayan-themed motifs tailored specifically for the local market.

Compared to its global counterpart, the SUV has a large panoramic sunroof. It also sports a dual-tone green-and-black theme in place of the darker, monotone layout on the global version, with increased use of leatherette, soft-touch materials, and colour-matched stitching, while the India-only Iconic Launch Edition adds yellow contrast detailing and Duster branding.

Renault has further tailored the interior for local use with a driver-angled centre console, a 10.1-inch touchscreen paired with a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a 6-way powered and ventilated front seat. Renault has equipped the India-spec Duster with Google built-in and Gemini AI integration. The India-spec Duster also gets six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a 700-litre boot.
While efficiency-oriented mild-hybrids dominate overseas, Renault has re-engineered the Duster for India with a lineup designed to rival the Creta and other popular SUVs in the segment. For the first time, the Renault Duster in India comes with a strong hybrid setup that combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine, a 48bhp electric motor, and a 19.7bhp hybrid starter generator to produce a total of 158bhp of maximum power and 172Nm of peak torque. However, this unit is said to be available by Diwali 2026.
