Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast will launch the VF7 and the VF6 electric SUVs in India soon. Pre-bookings for both cars are currently open at a token amount of Rs 21,000, while their local assembly has also commenced at VinFast's first-ever manufacturing plant in India. Ahead of the launch, details about variants of these upcoming electric SUVs have also been revealed. The VF7, expected to go on sale first, is available in three variants: Earth, Wind, and Sky. The VF6, on the other hand, has only two variants: Earth and Wind. Although prices are yet to be officially announced, the VF7 is expected to start at Rs 50 lakh, while the VF6 could be priced at around Rs 17 lakh. Both are ex-showroom figures.
According to VinFast's Indian website, the India-spec VF7 will have a total of six colour options: Jet Black, Desat Silver, Crimson Red, Zenith Grey, and Urban Mint. These hues will be standard across variants. However, the interior theme of the electric SUV will vary depending on the selected variant. For instance, the Earth model will have an all-black cabin, while the Wind and Sky variants will come with a dual-tone mocha brown and black interior.

The VF7 will be the Vietnamese carmaker's flagship model in India. Its design will be similar to its global counterpart, though there could be some market-specific adjustments.
Globally, the electric SUV offers two powertrain options. The first is a single front-mounted motor option that produces 201bhp and 310Nm, and has a WLTP-certified range of up to 450 kilometres. The second option has a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that offers 348bhp/500Nm, and a range of a range of up to 431 kilometres. Both are equipped with a 75.3kWh battery. The single-motor version accelerates from 0-100km/h in 9.5 seconds, while the dual-motor model achieves it in 5.8 seconds. It's anticipated that VinFast will launch the more powerful dual-motor version in India.

The VF6 has the same exterior colour options as the VF7. The interior hues are all-black for the Earth version, and dual-tone mocha brown and black for the Wind variant.
